The leader of the opposition party at Vélez-Málaga town hall, Francisco Delgado, has asked for a report on the training volunteer security staff were given before last week's Holy Week processions in the town.

He has accused the current mayor, Antonio Moreno Ferrer, of playing “Russian roulette” with safety.

He said plans were “improvised” and that there was no evacuation procedure.

Moreno Ferrer hit back saying there had been no incidents.
