Nerja fire station officially opens with plans to recruit more firefighters

Nerja's fire station was officially opened last Friday.

The service will cover Nerja, Maro and Frigiliana, with a combined population of 40,000 people.

This figure, however, can triple during the summer months.

Three firefighters are currently stationed in Nerja but mayor, Rosa Arrabal, and president of Malaga's Diputación, Elías Bendodo, who attended the event, announced that a further member of the brigade is to be recruited soon and that more jobs would be made available this year.
