Dozens of people joined a protest outside Torremolinos train station in La Nogalera on Friday to call for the immediate installation of a passenger lift and other works to improve access.
With the support of several associations, protesters got together to draw attention to the lack of provision for people with reduced mobility at the station.
Passengers in wheelchairs, with children in pushchairs or with heavy luggage are currently unable to access the underground platforms.
There is no lift and an escalator only for those leaving the station and which, said protesters, "is often broken".
A further protest has been organised for 10 March to call for the government to keep its promise and carry out the works that were due to start in January.
