Journalism medal for former SUR editor

José Antonio Frías is recovering from a stroke suffered four years ago

The Malaga Asociación de Prensa, representing the province's journalists, gave its medal of honour on Wednesday to José Antonio Frías, who was editor-in-chief of SUR in English between 1995 and 2012.

Frías (centre), who is recovering from a stroke suffered four years ago, received his award along with Ana Tere Vázquez of Cadena SER radio and veteran journalist Guillermo Jiménez Smerdou.
