Maritime rescue teams brought 109 people to dry land on Saturday in an operation to intercept two migrant vessels which had left the Moroccan city of Al-Hoceïma bound for Spanish shores.

On board were 99 men and ten women. Nine of the women were pregnant.

The vessels were located by the Cóndor IV aircraft before the Alnitak and Concepción Arenal boat brought the occupants to Malaga port for processing. Three had to be taken to hospital.
