  • A police patrol car was stopped by a member of the public in the street to report a fight in a bar in Malaga

A police patrol car was stopped by a member of the public in the street to report a fight in a bar in Calle Camino de Los Guindos in Malaga city in the early hours of Christmas morning.

The police went straight to the bar and, on seeing chairs and glasses being thrown around inside, called for more officers and assistance from the local security group, Grupo Operativo de Apoyo (GOA), to stop the disturbance.

Six youths were arrested in connection with the fight at the bar, one of whom was a 17 year-old minor. Another youth handed himself in at the police station.

The actual cause of the brawl is still unknown, although it started with a quarrel between two groups. The quarrel evolved into blows in which snooker balls and cues were used as weapons.

None of the injuries sustained in the fight were serious.
