The Christmas lights in Malaga centre will be officially turned on next Friday 24 November at 7.30 pm. This year, Calle Larios is being transformed into Malaga Cathedral, featuring domes and stained glass windows.
On Wednesday morning, tests began on the lights to check that they were all working. These tests came as a surprise to visitors and locals walking down Calle Larios.
The switching on ceremony will begin at 6.30 pm with different Christmas activities and a free concert from Andy y Lucas in the Plaza de la Constitución, before the lighting ceremony an hour later.
After 24 November, popular Christmas music will be played twice daily at 6.30 pm and 9.30 pm in the centre of Malaga.
