Organisers of Torre del Mar's Weekend Beach Festival announced last weekend that 10,000 tickets were bought in just two hours after they went on sale via the Weekend Beach website for the next event, which will take place from 4 to 7 July 2018.
The festival, which will be celebrating its fifth anniversary, has already started to confirm acts. On Wednesday organisers revealed in a press release that Italian-born reggae artist, Alborosie, will be performing. Other artists, spanning electronic, reggae, pop and rock music genres have also confirmed that they will be playing at the four-day festival.
The Weekend Beach festival started in 2014 and has rapidly become one of the most popular summer music events in Spain, attracting visitors from across the country and abroad. In its short history it has brought international musicians such as Damian Marley, The Prodigy, Skrillex, Dub Inc and Wiz Khalifa to Torre del Mar. In 2017 the event was almost sold out. The local authority announced that accommodation was fully booked and that the event had brought over one million euros to the town.
