Police arrested and identified a resident of Benamargosa last Tuesday, on the same day that he robbed the town's branch of Unicaja bank. The man entered the bank on Tuesday morning and threatened staff with an axe.
He got away with 7,000 euros which were later recovered when he was caught by the officers. No one was hurt in the incident and the only people in the bank at the time were the two members of staff.
The culprit is known to police and already has a criminal record.
