Delta's promises to run the year-round direct flight between Malaga and New York in 2018 have been broken as the airline announced that the flight will only run in the summer.
In its transatlantic flight schedule for 2018, the airline revealed that the normal direct service to JFK airport will commence again from 25 May next year but will not be available to passengers all year. The airline also announced increased connections in other parts of Spain.
It will now be running a high-season service between Atlanta and Barcelona. Rafael Ruiz, Delta's director of sales in Spain and Southern Europe insisted that the changes will benefit Spanish people visiting the USA.
“Via our hubs in Atlanta and New York, passengers can easily reach attractive destinations such as Hawaii and San Francisco,” he said.
