Just a few days after announcing the arrival of a Sumatran tiger, Bioparc Fuengirola has welcomed a special new resident, the first ever golden-cheeked gibbon to be born in Spain.

Gibbons are born blond so that young can blend into the fur of their mother. During the first six months, visitors at the park will be able to see the newborn gibbon holding onto its mother, Ares.

They spend most of their time, up in the trees, jumping from branch to branc, always accompanied by Den, the father of the newborn.
