National Police have arrested a man in connection with four sexual assaults committed in Fuengirola in the last month and a half.
The Spanish national, 31, has been detained for a series of crimes using the same modus operandi: following women who are alone, before threatening them with a screwdriver, sexually assaulting them and fleeing in a white van.
The first case happened on 31 May when a young woman was followed into the elevator of her building and threatened. The perpetrator, however, fled after hearing other people close by.
Most recently, on 6 July, a British woman returning home from work was forced to carry out sexual acts on him, before he fled the scene in his van.
