Three bathers rescued after ignoring red flag

Three tourists, from France, Norway and Spain, were rescued off a Torremolinos beach after getting into difficulty on Wednesday afternoon.

All three had gone into the water, ignoring the red flag warning which was flying at the time.

A beach lifeguard went into the water to rescue them. The French bather was first to be taken out.

The remaining two had to be rescued simultaneously due to the imminent danger they were in.
