Residents living near the old Los Álamos Hotel in Torremolinos have called for it to be used again or demolished after expressing concerns over its current poor state.

Plaster falling from the walls and the terrible state of both the inside of the building and the exterior, particularly the back of the building, has got neighbours up in arms.

The old hotel has been empty since 2014 and is a property belonging to social security.

Squatters have constantly been evicted and fires have been started inside the building, but despite constant surveillance following orders from the central government to prevent a further deterioration of the building, its current state is preventing any kind of sale from taking place.
