Malaga-Fuengirola Cercanías line back to normal, says Renfe

  • The rail company stated that the service would be operating as normal on Thursday, after a shortage of drivers caused 38 cancellations over the last few days

After eight cancellations on Tuesday, Spanish rail operator Renfe cancelled another 12 Cercanías trains on the Malaga-Fuengirola train on Wednesday.

Unions warned earlier this week that new disruptions could be expected taking the total number of cancellations up to 38 since last Friday.

Renfe has stated, however, that the service would be operating as usual on Thrusday.

These were the trains affected on Wednesday:

Málaga (12.50) – Fuengirola (13.36)

Málaga (14.10) – Fuengirola (14.56)

Málaga (15.10) – Fuengirola (15.56)

Málaga (15.50) – Fuengirola (16.36)

Málaga (16.50) – Fuengirola (17.36)

Málaga (17.30) – Fuengirola (18.16)

Fuengirola (13.40) – Málaga (14.26)

Fuengirola (15.00) – Málaga (15.46)

Fuengirola (16.00) – Málaga (16.46)

Fuengirola (16.40) – Málaga (17.26)

Fuengirola (17.40) – Málaga (18.26)

Fuengirola (18.20) – Málaga (19.06)

The company has said that the rest of the day's services would be operating as usual with departures every 20 minutes.
