The 200-year-old La Farola lighthouse in Malaga port is to become a museum about the history of the docks in the city.
A temporary exhibition which displays around a hundred original maps and plans has been organised as part of a programme scheduled to celebrate the bicentenary of the much-loved building’s construction.
The plan to turn the lighthouse permanently into a museum will begin at the end of this year, when it will be decommissioned and a modern lighthouse building opens elsewhere in the port.
