The town hall in Manilva has begun works in the Plaza de la Iglesia de Santa Ana to revamp the square.

The works will see the wall which currently separates it from adjacent areas knocked down and a flight of steps built to further expand it.

As a result, the square will recover a design similar to the one that it had 50 years ago.

Residents have demanded the change for a while, believing that it limits space for Holy Week processions and other festivities.
