CIOMijas staff are excused from work for “safety reasons” after third robbery in a week

  • The liquidators have stated that once internal and security issues are dealt with, work will resume as normal with a high level of security

Five workers at CIOMijas hospitality school, who were recently revealed to have been working for 32 months unpaid, have been excused from work indefinitely by the training centre’s liquidators.

The measure has been taken due to concerns surrounding the staff’s safety, after the CIOMijas building was subject to break-ins on three nights in one week. However, the liquidators have stated that once internal and security issues are dealt with, work will resume as normal with a high level of security, after one worker threatens to stop coming to work unless a security firm is hired.
