Thousands of Malaga residents and tourists packed the streets of the city until the early hours of Sunday morning for the tenth edition of the 'Noche en Blanco'.

Long queues were once again seen outside various museums in the city during a long night of culture, with most of them offering free entry to visitors.

Among the highlights for the museums were the 700 visitors who entered the Centre Pompidou museum during the first hour-and-a-half of the 'Noche en Blanco', while some 6,000 people visited the CAC museum before it closed at 11pm.

Several concerts also took place on the streets, with 8,500 hip-hop enthusiasts attending the semi-final of the Batalla de los Gallos competition, which was won by the Malaga band BTA, while the Malaga group Airbag were the final act in a packed Auditorio Eduardo Ocón for the pop rock festival.

Other musical highlights included the concerts given by the Fundación Hispania Música outside the cathedral and the concert in the Plaza Obispo which saw young musicians perform in an event organised by the Fundación Musical de Malaga.

The night was set up to encapsulate dreamlike emotions, and the School of Architecture did just that with their two events, which were the most in-demand of the night due to their uniqueness and originality.

In the University of Malaga's 'Rectorado' building, visitors, with the help of guides dressed in red costumes, were allowed to immerse themselves in life at the bottom of the sea through virtual reality glasses, which made them feel small as they were surrounded by enormous jellyfish and spiders.

Meanwhile, at Muelle Uno, a row of 13,000 white canvas paintings created a dreamlike atmosphere in an event accompanied by clarinet music and dancing.
