New hospital to get mains power by year’s end

  • The provincial government has agreed to pay the 500,000 euros for the power lines

The new Guadalhorce Valley hospital is set to get its long-awaited connection to mains power by the end of the year after the provincial government agreed to pay the 500,000 euros for the 1.7-kilometre-long power lines.

This will allow the hospital to fully open in 2018 after frequent power cuts have blighted service since its partial opening in June 2016.
