La Herradura boutique hotel should be open in time for summer

  • Promoters of the new establishment, who also own La Caleta Bay hotel, promise guests excellent and personalised customer service

A new boutique hotel, the Peña Parda Bay, named after its predecessor, the Hostal Peña Parda, as well as the beach on which it is located, is due to open its doors in time for the summer season.

The hotel will boast 18 en suite rooms and two restaurants and will provide “the services expected of a boutique category hotel, like personalised service and excellent customer service,” said promoter, Manuel López.

The La Caleta Bay Hotels group already owns the La Caleta Bay boutique hotel, also in La Herradura.

Trinidad Herrera, Mayor of Almuñécar, to which La Herradura belongs, said during a visit to the site on Tuesday, that the hotels are important as they “bring employment and wealth to the town”.

The Peña Parda Bay, which retains the roof and columns of its predecessor, will have an investment of almost three million euros.
