Plans for 290 homes on land in Nerja town centre

The land behind Calle Carabeo in Nerja, just a few hundred metres from the Balcón de Europa, could be used to build 290 homes. Priamo Real Estate, the company that owns the land, has reactivated conversations with Nerja town hall about the possibility of building on the space, which is currently used for the town's fair in October and as a public-pay car park the rest of the year.

Priamo Real Estate has said that it has plans to include social housing in the development on the land, which is valued at between 1.8 and 3.2 million euros, according to separate reports by Nerja town hall and Malaga provincial government respectively. The company also includes in its plans the relocation of the feria ground to a plot of land near the river Chillar.
