Members of the Internaitonal Lions Club learned how to share their values in Malaga last weekend at the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute. The four-day event combined learning with pleasure as the more than 60 leading Lions members from 20 countries attended classes in three languages as well as social functions.

Groups divided into English, French and Spanish speakers studied several issues related to the association at the city's NH hotel.

Joshua Friedman from the central offices in Chicago explained how the visitors received training in management techniques, conflict-solving and skills for transmitting the values of the Lions.

"We Lions work rather hard for the wellbeing of others and we sometimes have the oportunity to prove that we enjoy doing it, literally. Like somebody once said, 'There is more pleasure in giving than in receiving'. We believe it," said Pepe Guasp, the local coordinator for the event and member of the district's executive board of Lions organisations in Spain.

The weekend ended with a joint fellowship dinner.
