A Dutch investor has presented a plan to Ronda town council to turn a luxury villa near the town into a special hotel promoting rural tourism.
The plan involves expanding the villa with six rooms into a hotel with 12 ensuite rooms. The hotel's facilities would also include multi-purpose meeting rooms, a greenhouse, an environmentally-friendly kitchen garden and an open-air gym.
The central idea behind the hotel project, which is located in the Los Frontones area near the Seville road, is to build an establishment which focuses on the peace and quiet of rural areas and one that promotes meditation techniques as essential therapy, imbued with a nutritional vegetarian diet.
The investment will cost around 700 euros, with the extension expected to increase the building size to 1300 square metres, if approved by the council.
