Atresmedia TV has announced that the filming of the second season of Toy Boy will begin "soon" on the Costa del Sol.

The specific date has not yet been finalised, but the announcement confirms the return of this production whose first season filmed in the province for about eight months.

The night life, the strip bars and the confrontation between the Rojas and Medina families will feature again but with the addition of a touch of the Italian mafia.

Again, Netflix will premiere the series to the rest of the world, which was recommissioned to its worldwide success on the video-on-demand platform.

The original premiere of Toy Boy was on during prime time on Spain’s Antena 3, where it had a very limited audience and numerous critics at the end of 2019.

But everything changed when it reached the Netflix platform, where it did not take long to become one of the most popular series in many countries.

The producer Plano a Plano is once again the driving force behind this sequel, which will be shot again in its entirety on the Costa del Sol.

The main cast of Jesús Mosquera, Cristina Castaño and María Pedraza, from Malaga, will be joined by two international signings, the Italians Michele Morrone and Federica Sabatini.
