Phrases like "we are all in this together" have now become a rallying call for many charities and support organisations along the coast. Age Concern Fuengirola, Mijas and Benalmádena is one charity that is responding to this call every week, working alongside town halls in its area to provide food and supplies to those most in need.

As part of its current fundraising drive, the charity has donated a total of 500 euros worth of non-perishable goods to the Fuengirola Food Bank and Adintre, a volunteer-run association which supports individuals and families in danger of social exclusion.

The supplies were delivered last week by committee member Keith Hogsden and president David Long.

The charity's secretary, Steve Marshall, said: "The pandemic affects us all and tomorrow it might be you or someone you care about who needs us, so please offer support and help us to continue to provide help where help is needed."
