The Rotary Club Mijas International is appealing to local dentists and dental technicians to assist with its initiative to supply free treatment to the homeless.

This is the second year the Rotary Club has organised the project, which began after the association was informed that some of the homeless people had struggled to eat the food contained in the charity parcels distributed over the festive period.

Several Fuengirola dentists have so far joined the scheme, including Clínica Dental Noruega, Clínica Dental Monteblanco and the Francisco Terriente Dental Laboratory.

The Rotary Club wants to hear from dentists who would like to become involved. The club meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the Da Bruno restaurant in Las Lagunas de Mijas from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.

Rotary Club president Mario Bravo said, "Rotarians are people of action, when they notice a problem, they will try to solve it."
