The Starlite festival in Marbella has already seen a host of performances by some of the great names in music, including The Beach Boys, Kool & The Gang, Sting and Jamie Cullum; this week it has been the turn of Luis Fonsi, James Rhodes, Katie Melua and David Bisbal.

Fonsi, the "hurricane of Latin rhythm" appeared for the third time at Starlite on Saturday and entertained his fans with some of his most popular hits.

Monday saw both British pianist James Rhodes and singer Katie Melua in concert with James appearing first to play a repertoire of classical music in his inimitable style.

Singer and composer Katie Melua was up on stage next and sang a selection of her own hits as well as her adaptation of some covers, she spoke little between songs except for thank the audience for their applause.

David Bisbal returned to the Starlite stage and a sellout concert on Tuesday. Starlite continues next week with more stars lined up including British pop star Jessi J on 16 August.

The musical highlight of the week, however, had to be the Jennifer Lopez concert on Thursday night on the Marenostrum stage in Fuengirola.
