The owner of the Vino Mío restaurant in Malaga, Hélène Mosterman, came up with an idea to help local NGOs raise awareness while also increasing their funds.
The project 'Heal The World' will start in April and will include a special menu costing 30 euros of which 7 euros will go to charity, a Friday charity drink between 5 and 7pm of which three euros per glass goes to charity, the sale of merchandise such as T shirts, wines carrying the logo, a monthly gala and a family day.
The restaurant will invite a group of volunteers from each NGO every month as a gesture of appreciation for the work they do for others.
The first will be in April for Málaga Dragon Boat, an association that helps support women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In May it will be the turn of the NGO INPAVI which helps families at risk of social exclusion and /or poverty, and in June the Ronald McDonald Foundation will be the focus of the restaurant. Vino Mío has for many years had a close connection with this last charity which supports families of sick children and provides parents with accommodation during their child's treatment.
