Obtaining fresh fruit and vegetables, in season and grown in Malaga province, doesn't have to be a chore any more. Thanks to the popularity of online shopping, several vegetable producers are distributing their fresh produce directly to the people of Malaga.
From the coveted 'Huevo de Toro' tomato to the avocados of the Axarquía, it is now possible to purchase them with just one click from an online shop. Although not all have the different systems of payment implemented (PayPal or credit card), they offer other options such as bank transfer or cash on delivery. Some don't charge to deliver either.
Biomilanés is a small family business dedicated to organic farming. They have a shop in Malaga centre and another in Pizarra as well as an online store with payment by cash on delivery. Delivery on purchases over 20 euros is free.
The cooperative Guadalhorce Ecológico has been distributing its produce online for several years. Minimum order is 30 euros and cash on delivery if using the company's own delivery service.
Other companies worth checking out online include Familia Hevilla, which will drop off your delivery at convenient points around the province and La Huerta de Pancha which offers subtropical fruit and a range of different tomato varieties. Family run Finca La Juntilla in Coín usually supplies restaurants but now delivers a range of fresh produce to customers who order online and they offer three methods of payment.
