The protesters, brought together by the Justicia por la Sanidad association and headed by Granada doctor Jesús Candel, crowded into Avenida de la Constitución in Seville last Sunday. They grouped outside the SAS (Servicio Andaluz de Salud) offices to complain about how Andalucía's low ranking on the list of health spending per capita compared to the rest of Spain.

The banners and placards demanded justice from the regional government and Candel said the protest was one of many actions to denounce the Junta de Andalucía as a criminal organisation that stubbornly continues to offend.

Regional Health minister, Marina Álvarez, defended the Junta's commitment and investment in the public health service and said we should be proud of it as it is an international and national benchmark.
