An open-air yoga class will take place at the Arroyo de la Miel Polideportivo's Gym on Saturday 26 May, in aid of Cudeca care charity. The class is open to the public and will be taught on the grass pitch of the Benalmádena gym. Around 100 people are expected to participate.

The town's councillor for Sports, Joaquín Villazón, was joined by the gym's manager, Eloy Diaz Rio-Miranda, yoga teacher Marta Rubio Castejón and Cudeca representative Natalia Aparicio to officially unveil Yoga for Cudeca on Monday 21. The councillor praised the event, saying not only is yoga a healthy activity but this event is for a very good cause as well.

Rubio was keen to point out that the class is open to all abilities: It won't be too complicated. The style of yoga is not important. We'll be working on connecting our hearts.

Every year, Cudeca provides care and support, free of charge, to more than 1,400 people that have cancer or incurable illnesses and to their families.

The event will take place at 10am and tickets are 5 euros, with all proceeds going to Cudeca. Participants can register at the gym's reception up until the day of the event and are asked to bring their own mat if possible.
