After an 18-year-long fight against cancer, Judith Price passed away on Wednesday last week, surrounded by her loved ones. Judith, a British woman with Malaga in her heart and soul, played an important role in the promotion of the Costa del Sol and Andalucía and was a great tourism entrepreneur. She was also a great fan of Malaga CF, a team she followed everywhere with her husband Manuel Toledo. Her funeral, at the International Cemetery in Benalmádena, had moments of grief, and also joy, as she always had a smile on her face. Her fight against cancer is a example to many. At her funeral, as she had wanted, there was music, white flowers and fine words... and a very special farewell: words of gratitude to the team of oncologists at Malaga's Materno hospital.
Judith was an extraordinary woman. She will be missed at the tourism congresses, at the events she organised, at La Rosaleda or the Hotel Larios from where she watched the Easter processions, although this year she only managed to see her favourites.
There must be a reason why the good people always go first. God must want to have them close and calls them before the worthless others, who are all still down here.
