  • Celebrations for Ireland's patron saint helped to raise a significant amount of money for charity

Cudeca Cancer Hospice


A fundraising evening, hosted by Rafaele Morelli, took place at the Valparaiso restaurant in Mijas on Saturday. The event was the launch of Milly and Tim's Paris Marathon run in aid of the Cudeca Hospice. A raffle also raised 320 euro. Singer Debra Stacey and saxophonist Leonardo de Peruta provided entertainment.

Annual Charity Ball

Laude San Pedro hosted its Annual Charity Ball on Friday with performers not only taking to the stage but also suspended from the roof. The wide array of acts included singing, dancing, a fashion parade, gymnastics and an aerial acrobatics display. Many prizes had been donated by local businesses, which were auctioned off in order to raise money for the children's charity Aldeas Infantiles SOS.

Boules Tournament

The Annual Founder's Trophy competition took place recently at Torrox Park. The winners were Jill Parsons and Keith Bourne. Len Warwick organised the event.

International Club Estepona

St Patrick's Day

Members of ICE celebrated S. Patrick's Day in the usual way with green hats and classic songs.

Members also recently celebrated the 80th birthday of Christina, the former president.

Other activities included a visit to a garden centre and a photography field trip to the Cadiz coast in search of migratory birds and wild flowers.


Museum Visit

The TAPAS women took a tour around the Pizarra municipal museum, which hosts artefacts from the Malaga area dating back to Roman times. They then enjoyed lunch at the Cortijo Casablanca Restaurante.
