The Welsh Society raised more than 2,000 euros for the Ty Olwen Hospice in Swansea during their St David's Day celebrations last week. The event was held at CJs Karaoke Bar in Benalmádena and, despite the heavy rain, the local Welsh community came together to enjoy a day of live entertainment and an auction. More than 20 artistes performed at the event, including The Banana Studios, The Costa Soul Singers and Take That Tony.
The auction items included a signed Swansea FC shirt and rugby boots signed by the Welsh International, James Hook.
“We would like to thank all the people who came along and made the day the success it was,” secretary, Debbie Benham said.
