La Cala de Mijas Diabetic Support Group, run by La Cala Lions, recently received a donation of 250 euros from its new sponsor, the home entertainment firm Cencion. Danyelle Heyfron, representing the company, presented the cheque on behalf of Cencion CEO Ashraf Sharif to Anne Bowles, together with Lions president Julie Barry, and a group of members outside their charity Shop in La Cala de Mijas.
Cencion, which manufactures its own set-top box and multimedia player, provides access to hundreds of diet and health applications and has teamed up with the Diabetic Support Group to help bridge the gap between technology and day-to-day family health, as well as promising ongoing sponsorship throughout the year.
The Diabetic Support Group meets every month in Hogar, Calle Blanca Paloma 1, Fuengirola. The next meeting is on Good Friday, 30th March, at 10.30 am, when there will be a talk on therapy for pulmonary problems. Contact Anne Bowles on 607879450 or email annediabetics@gmail.com.
