A day to queue to make three wishes

During Lent, as the procession dates approach, numerous events take place as part of the run-up to Easter. In Malaga city today, Friday 2 March, visitors will be able to witness one religious tradition that causes long queues to form outside the church of Santiago in Calle Granada. Between 8am and midnight the church will be open for people to go and pay homage to the image of Christ of Medinaceli, celebrated on the first Friday on the month of March. According to tradition, devotees place three coins at the feet of the image and make three wishes.
