Nerja 41 Club

A busy month

In the last month Nerja 41 Club (ex-Round Tablers) met Klaus Hinker, an artist from Frigiliana who showed them some of his work which included watercolours, linocuts and acrylic paintings. Club members also enjoyed a sauna evening and a lunch out in Viñuela village.

Early this month, students in the first year of their Geography degree at Royal Holloway, University of London, interviewed club members on Brexit as well as life in Spain.

The 41 Club has 50 members from 10 different countries throughout Northern Europe and many of them only spend short periods of time in Spain. For more information call Alfie on 626998626 or visit 41clubnerja.org

Adana

Competition for a new logo

Estepona dog rescue and rehoming charity Adana has announced the launch of a competition, open to all, for the design of a new logo to feature on the charity's publicity material. The chosen design will appear on all their leaflets, stationery, banners and on the new van which has been paid for by a generous UK-based donor.

“Many people have told us they find our current logo confusing with no visual impact,” said president Mary Page. “One visitor to the kennels said it reminded him of signs directing you to the loos at the airport.”

The competition is open to anyone; schools are especially welcome to become involved.

Adana is a charity which has facilities for stray dogs which it cares for and rehomes so the design must obviously reflect this. Entries should be sent to adanapresidente@gmail.com before 31 March.

Adana coffee mornings start 23 February and then the last Friday of every month at Vice Versa in Estepona port, 11am to 1pm.
