New reality show to focus on English-speaking property owners in Spain

A new reality television series aimed at expats living along the Mediterranean coast is to be filmed on the Costa del Sol next month. Mediterranean Life will tell the stories of native English speaking families who are renting or buying a property in Mediterranean Europe.

The HGTV satellite television company is currently casting for the new series, which is similar to popular television show, House Hunters International.

Filming of the show will begin in the second week of March and the on-line channel is looking for energetic people who are in love with the Mediterranean lifestyle.

A leading developer of engaging lifestyle content in the home, food and travel categories for television, the internet and emerging platforms, HGTV's global networks and web sites reach millions of consumers across North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Africa.

“If you and your family are planning to, or are in the process of, relocating to the idyllic Mediterranean coast, we would love to hear your story. We are currently casting for Mediterranean Life and we are looking for energetic individuals, couples and families who are passionate about their search for a new home or vacation property.

We are always on the lookout for upbeat personalities and we will begin filming in Andalucía in the second week of March. If you are interested in being on the show, please get in touch, Barbara Kaczmarczyk, of HGTV, told SUR in English.

The show will be broadcast in the USA on HGTV and the producers are hoping it will create an opportunity to promote the region and show that it is not as hard as it may seem to relocate to Mediterranean Europe.
