Lux Mundi Fuengirola and Torre del Mar received donations of women's and men's clothing as well as children's toys over the Christmas period.

The donations were distributed to homeless people in the area who use the centres' weekly soup kitchens as well as to refugees and immigrants in collaboration with a number of organisations. These included the Red Cross, Centro Español de Ayuda al Refugiado (CEAR), the Spanish Evangelical Church, Asociación Católica Española de Migraciones (ACCEM), Casa de ls Hermanitas de Los Pobres, la Casa del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús (Cottolengo) in Malaga and Cáritas Torre del Mar.

Lux Mundi also worked with the Lions Club in La Cala de Mijas who provided ingredients and entertainment for a Christmas lunch which Lux Mundi and the Lions hosted on 4 January in Fuengirola.

The Torre del Mar clothes shop, Almacenes Córdoba, also took part in the collection by donating boxes of clothes and there was help from a number of churches in the province.

Guests at the Christmas lunch were given bags containing donated items.
