Malaga University (UMA) is conducting a study to compare the expat communities on the Costa del Sol and the Algarve. The research is based in Malaga and is in collaboration with other Spanish universities, Vigo and Alicante, as well as international ones, Algarve and Loughborough. This study is part of the greater National Research and Development Project, which is led by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.

To aid the research UMA has compiled a questionnaire and needs the responses of at least 400 foreign residents of the Costa del Sol. Any British, Russian, or German national who has been living on the Costa del Sol for over five years is asked to complete the quick questionnaire, which will take around five minutes. The survey is entirely anonymous and results will not be shared with anyone outside of the research team. To take part in the investigation, click here for the English version, here for the survey in German, and here for the Russian version.

For any questions about the research or the survey, email Professor Laura López Romero, lauralopezr@uma.es.
