Thirty youngsters from ADIMI enjoy a fun day courtesy of The Smile Foundation

  • The event was held at the CLC World holiday complex in Mijas Costa, where a programme of activities included painting and dancing

The Smile Foundation support group recently organised a fun day out for a group of physically and mentally disabled youngsters. Around 30 children from ADIMI - an association set up to assist people with disabilities - participated in the event, which included exploring the CLC Club La Costa World by train and various activities such as dancing, music and painting.

The event was attended by the President of The Smile Foundation, José Luis Mella, and members of ADIMI, including President, Cristobal Moreno, who said: “The youngsters are very happy today, and this is what we try to achiever: making them feel integrated and important.”

The president also took the opportunity to thank The Smile Foundation for its commitment to the F. Cruz Dias ADIMI Centre in Mijas, stressing that with their help, “the life of people with disabilities in Mijas will change”.

The ADIMI centre has 35 children currently registered in their occupational workshop and they have attended more than 100 patients this year. The centre consists of an equipped day hospital and therapy rooms for psychology and physiotherapy.
