Hospice charity Cudeca celebrated World Palliative Day on Saturday with a successful piano recital at the María Cristina concert hall in Malaga. Solo pianist Cristina Alba Padial performed a special selection of music from Around the World in 80 Keys.

The event was one of over 1,000 concerts organised by hospices in 74 countries, all sharing the global motto: A Song to Life - Palliative Care eliminates suffering.

Win a car

Supporters of Cudeca are reminded of the raffle organised by the Cudeca Goldies fundraising team in which the grand prize is Renault Clio Life (75cv) valued at 9,990 euros.

A total of 2,500 raffle tickets were put on sale last month for a donation of 10¤ each.

The tickets have been selling well so far, says Cudeca, but there are still plenty on sale at the Cudeca Centre in Benalmádena; Ruben Exchange offices in Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola; and Mapuchi Moda shop in La Cala de Mijas. The winning ticket will coincide with the result of the ONCE special draw on 1 January 2018.

Cudeca Hospice will use the funds raised to offer specialised care and attention to patients with cancer or other advanced terminal illnesses and to provide support to their families.
