The JOPMA (Malaga province's youth orchestra) gave an open air concert on Sunday evening, conducted by Iván Nuño Guerrero.

The youngest members played Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah and Gabriel's Oboe by Ennio Morricone, with a stunning solo rendition by 11-year-old oboist Marcos Montiel Delgado, and then gave way to the Youth Orchestra, who played a series of traditional Moroccan pieces.

JOPMA president Tania Schoham explained that the venue, overlooking Rincón de la Victoria from next to the 'Torre Vigía' (watch tower), was chosen not only as a beautiful setting for a concert but also as being particularly appropriate to the music, the tower having been built in times of the Moorish occupation of Spain.
