A Marbella park was packed with more than 800 revellers after an Irish Music Festival was held last weekend.
The inaugural event saw people of all ages and nationalities descend on the Parque de la Constitución to see a variety of live performances.
Organised from The Claddagh Irish Bar are now hoping to make the two-day festival an annual event.
Marc Taylor, 36, manager of The Claddagh, told SUR in English: It was our first event and we were in the dark as to how many people were going to show up.
But Finbar Furey being the person he is attracted a lot of people, as he does sell out shows in the UK and America.
Mark explained that the idea for the weekend came about over a coffee with his boss after discussing how popular St Patricks Day was.
Our St Patricks Day celebrations go down a storm every year, but the weather can be a bit iffy, he said.
So my boss said why dont we do something in September and bring a lot of people over for an Irish music festival. I agreed, and then he told me I was organising it.
Mark, who is originally from Bristol, added: We wanted to do an event that would give something back to the community. And it went down very well!
The highlight for me was at about 6.30pm when Finbar was playing to everybody the place was jumping! He sung his heart out with all the passion that he has. I saw a few people in tears during his performance, which was lovely to see.
Other performers included Celtic fusion band The Stolen Gnomes, local performer Sean Murray and comedian Al Foran.
