Cudeca launches competition to find images for its 2018 charity calendar

  • The theme of the calendar will be ‘Corners of the Province of Malaga’

The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice is holding a photographic competition for its 2018 calendar.

This year the theme will be ‘Corners of the Province of Malaga’, and budding photographers have been invited to enter their pictures for possible publication in the calendar. Cudeca needs 13 photographs for this year’s edition: one for each month of the year, while the overall winning photograph will adorn the front cover of the calendar.

Both amateur and professional photographers are invited to take part, but participants must be over 18 years of age.

The subject must be Malaga, either landscape or architecture, and the picture must not have been altered by photographic touch-ups, other than light or exposure levels. Those found to have been digitally altered will be disqualified from the competition.

The photographs must be accompanied by a brief description, stating location and date taken, along with the author’s name, email and telephone number.

Participants, who can enter a maximum of three photographs, must submit their entries by Monday 31 July.

The panel of judges will be formed by a selection of Cudeca personnel and representatives of photographic associations. The result will be communicated to the winners in September, via the Cudeca website and social networks.

Once again, the calendar has been made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Alarma Universal, who will cover the cost of the printing.

The calendar aims to inform the community about the importance of palliative care, as well as raising funds to be dedicated to the care programmes.

Calendars will be available for sale from October from all the Cudeca charity shops and at Cudeca Hospice Centre in Benalmádena.
