Rincón school's Holy Week exhibition open to everyone

For the fifth year running, La Marina school in Torre de Benagalbón will be offering visitors the chance to see its Holy Week exhibition. The collection of images, posters and statues representing 17 of the 'tronos' that take part in Malaga's Holy ... Week processions was started by Sister Mercedes Fernández and has grown over the years with teachers and pupils adding their own contributions. Guided tours are available to anyone who goes along to the school during Holy Week.

First-class acts hit the summer stage

The Starlite festival in Marbella has already seen a host of performances by some of the great names in music, including The Beach Boys, Kool & The Gang, Sting and Jamie Cullum; this week it has been the turn of Luis Fonsi, James Rhodes, Katie Melua ... between songs except for thank the audience for their applause. David Bisbal returned to the Starlite stage and a sellout concert on Tuesday. Starlite continues next week with more stars lined up including British pop star Jessi J on 16 August.
