A survey of cleanliness in Spain's largest cities, carried out by a consumer watchdog, has placed Malaga near the bottom. The national average mark given by analysts to Spanish cities was 53, down two points on the last survey four years ago. Of ... the 60 places studied, Malaga came 46th with an average mark of 42. What most worried survey respondents about Malaga was dog dirt in the city centre and the outskirts. Oviedo was the Spanish city with the best mark of 79 followed by Bilbao (77), ... Vigo (76) and Logroño on 74. The worst two cities were Alicante on 34 and Jaén on 31. The survey took into account various factors, including the type of management and spend per inhabitant, and compared it to users' own experiences.
