Fundraising results brought smiles to Cudeca this month as events organisers visited the hospice in Benalmádena. Tony White, the president of the Good Companions Club, took with him a cheque for more than 10,000 euros raised by the organisation ... that was set up in 1995 to help the hospice charity. Also this month leader Suzy Rowe and members of the Cudeca Goldies group were congratulated for their fundraising efforts in 2016 which resulted in a total of more than 60,000 euros.

Cudeca’s 25th anniversary year celebrations got off to a flying start as Malaga’s Cervantes theatre filled out for a celebration of classical music on Tuesday night. Recognising the work of the cancer hospice over the past quarter of a century, ... from ticket sales and donations at the concert went directly to Cudeca. The concert was sponsored by the city hall and the provincial government of Malaga, both of which sent representatives to congratulate the hospice on its “tremendous work for the ... benefit of Malagueños”. Malaga mayor, Francisco de la Torre, congratulated Cudeca on their work, thanking members, and especially founder Joan Hunt OBE, for the care that thousands of people have received since the hospice’s foundation.
