Inline hockey youth tournament this weekend

This weekend the Santa Fe de Los Boliches ring in Fuengirola will once again host an international inline hockey tournament. This time it is the turn of the juniors with the Crusaders coming from the UK to match up against teams from Marbella, ... Sevilla, Cadiz and Fuengirola. Entrance is free and entertainment dancing at the intervals will be provided by the FAMA dance studio cheerleaders. In preparation, Fuengirola Lions and Marbella Pirates played a series of friendly games last Sunday in ... Fuengirola. Three different age categories competed against each other but the tightest game was between the 'alevines' with the Marbella side fighting back to win 5-4.

David Radford, one of the best known expats in Fuengirola, died of cancer in the Costa del Sol Hospital on 9 January, the day before his 86th birthday. Originally from Burton-on-Trent, David started his career as a cabin steward with BOAC, rising ... to Cabin Services Director on 747s and Concorde before retiring, via Brighton, to Calahonda. He subsequently moved to Puebla Lucía in Fuengirola. In Calahonda he found time both to be president of his community and to become involved with ... The Fuengirola Lions are fielding two sides as they look for success in the Andalusian inline hockey league this season. Barona Fuengirola and Fuengirola Lions both played two games each on Sunday; the latter started against Malaga, beating them ... equalised almost immediately. Youngster Imad Tiouk and captain Carlos Palafox then gifted the side a two-goal lead which was pegged back to 3-2 by Rene Delbouille to make it a nervous finish.
